MONZA ESTATE 2011

L'edizione 2011 della rassegna 'Monza Estate' si apre con un imperdibile appuntamento: Roberto Vecchioni, vincitore del Festival di Sanremo 2011, presenta il suo Tour 'Chiamami ancora amore' che prende il nome proprio dal brano vincitore del Festival. Vecchioni sarà accompagnato sul palco da una band di 6 elementi: Lucio Fabbri alle chitarre, mandolino e violino, Roberto Gualdi alla batteria, Massimo Germini alle chitarre, Stefano Cisotto alle tastiere, Eros Cristiani al pianoforte e alla fisarmonica e infine Antonio Petruzzelli al basso.

Cinque concerti spalmati nell'arco di un mese. Sul palco salgono oltre a Roberto Vecchioni, Francesco Renga, con Un giorno bellissimo; Emma Marrone, con A me piace così; Cesare Cremonini, che ripercorre tutti i suoi successi fino ai nuovi singoli Mondo ed Hello!; e Franco Battiato con i suoi quant'anni di soave musica.

Parola Cantata 2011 - Happening delle Musiche d'Autore

Dal 17 al 19 giugno 2011, appuntamento alle porte di Milano, a Brugherio per la seconda edizione di Parola Cantata, il festival di Parole e Musica d’Autore con la direzione artistica di Mauro Ermanno Giovanardi.

Reduce dal successo ottenuto a Sanremo con il brano “Io confesso”, Mauro Ermanno Giovanardi, storica voce dei La Crus, ritorna a Brugherio, la città dove è cresciuto - come direttore artistico della seconda edizione di “Parola Cantata”: una tre giorni dedicata alla PAROLA d’autore con incontri, performance, presentazioni e concerti che vedrà tra i suoi protagonisti Franco Battiato, Enrico Ruggeri, Cristina Donà, Manuel Agnelli, Paola Turci e molti altri ospiti illustri del panorama musicale e culturale italiano.

Torre Branca - Branca Tower

Torre Branca ("Branca Tower") is an iron panoramic tower located in Parco Sempione, the main city park of Milan, Italy. It is 108.6 m high, which makes it the fourth highest structure in Milan after Palazzo Lombardia (161 m), the Pirelli Tower (127.1 m) and the Breda Tower (116 m). The top of the tower is a popular panoramic point; on a clear day, the view may encompass the Milan cityline as well as the Alps, the Apennines, and part of the Po Valley.

The tower was designed by architect Gio Ponti and inaugurated in 1933, in the Fascist era; it was originally named "Torre Littoria" after fascio littorio, i.e., the fasces. After World War II it was renamed "Torre del Parco" ("park tower"). In 1972, access to the top of the tower was closed as the structure needed restoring. It was restructured in 2002 by the Branca liquor company, and thus renamed Torre Branca. Since 2002 it is again open to the public.

Saldi saldi saldi, lodati siano i saldi! Parafrasando un vecchio tormentone della compianta Betty Curtis, ci proiettiamo verso la nuova stagiore di sconti per l'estate 2011. Ormai un rito per molti consumatori, i saldi rappresentano spesso una vera liberazione anche per gli stessi commercianti, a causa del periodo di magra che tipicamente, negli ultimi anni, precede i la stagione degli sconti. Ricordiamo come ogni anno, che, nonostante la stragrande maggioranza dei commercianti, italiani, di abbigliamento e non, siano onestissimi, purtroppo le mele marce sono ovunque e gli inganni sono dietro l'angolo e bisogna essere attenti ad evitare le false occasioni. Consigliamo quindi seguire delle semplici regole:

◦Seguite, già da prima dell'inizio dei saldi, i prodotti da voi preferiti e segnatevi i prezzi di cartellino: non dimenticate che i prodotti che dovranno andare in saldo devo appartenere anche alla collezione in corso, che dovrà essere presente nei negozi anche durante i saldi.

◦I prodotti in vendita durante i saldi devono essere accompagnati da due prezzi: il prezzo non scontato, ossia quello originale, e quello scontato, accompagnato dalla percentuale di sconto applicata.

◦Anche sulle merci in saldo è previsto il diritto di recesso dall’acquisto, con obbligo di presentazione dello scontrino fiscale e chiara documentazione di difetti riscontrabili. Infatti, in mancata presenza di danni il diritto di recesso è a discrezione del negoziante, che può decidere se accettare il reso oppure no.

◦Devono essere messi in vendita prodotti della stagione che sta finendo e non vecchi fondi di magazzino. Questi ultimi possono essere venduti, ma con una chiara indicazione e un ribasso di prezzo davvero notevole.

Tutti gli impianti verranno chiusi entro il 2022 e molti - tranne tre, che resteranno in funzione per eventuali crisi energetiche - verranno disattivati nel 2021.

I leader dei partiti si sono riuniti nell'ufficio del cancelliere Angela Merkel a Berlino per mettere a punto l'accordo sulla chiusura degli impianti e l'intesa è arrivata al termine di una sessione fiume durata 12 ore che ha visto la partecipazione dei leader dei partiti della coalizione - Cdu, Csu e Fdp - ma in cui sono stati coinvolti anche quelli dei Socialdemocratici e dei Verdi.

Oggi verrà divulgato il contenuto del rapporto consegnato sabato dalla commissione etica al governo, in cui si raccomanda la chiusura degli impianti entro dieci anni, con la sospensione immediata del funzionamento di otto impianti e progressiva degli altri nove.

A partire dalle ore 17.00, spazio alla grande musica con la "Chicago Jazz Parade" coinvolgente e divertentissimo concerto itinerante di musica Jazz sulla riviera del lago.

Giro d’Italia si Conclude a Milano Domenica 29 maggio 2011

Giro d'Italia 2011: la tappa conclusiva domenica 29, orari e informazioni

PARTENZA DA FIERA RHO
La gara prenderà il via dal polo fieristico di Rho e attraverserà la città con un percorso modificato, di comune accordo tra Comune, Rcs Sport e Direzione tecnica del Giro d’Italia, per alleggerire l’impatto della corsa sulla viabilità cittadina.

• La partenza del primo concorrente è prevista intorno alle 14.20 dalla Fiera di Rho e l’arrivo dell’ultimo è atteso entro le 17.30.
• Spettacolo sportivo garantito con i corridori che partiranno a distanza di 1 minuto l’uno dall’altro e gli ultimi dieci, i più attesi, ogni 2 minuti.
• Una sfilata di campioni che attendono l’abbraccio di Milano, la città del Giro per eccellenza.

ARRIVO ED EVENTI COLLATERALI IN PIAZZA DUOMO
Il centro delle celebrazioni per il vincitore e dei festeggiamenti collaterali legati al  “Villaggio del Giro” sarà Piazza Duomo, dove sarà posto il portale del traguardo della cronometro individuale. Nell’ambito dei festeggiamenti per l’arrivo del Giro d’Italia, la mattinata di domenica vedrà lo svolgimento di una biciclettata non competitiva con ospiti del mondo dello spettacolo e dello sport sul tracciato percorso dai professionisti.
Prima della partenza, ci sarà il passaggio della Carovana, pronta come sempre a intrattenere e offrire al pubblico gadget e ricordi del Giro.


PERCORSO CITTADINO
Il percorso si snoderà lungo:

• Le vie ad alto scorrimento (via Sempione, viale Certosa, corso Sempione);
• da via Beltrami procederà verso nord costeggiando la Cerchia dei Bastioni fino ai Giardini Montanelli di Porta Venezia, da qui partirà il tratto finale verso piazza Duomo.
• Le strade interessate dal passaggio del Giro saranno chiuse dalle ore 12 alle ore 17.30.
• Dalle 12 alle 13 si svolgeranno le prove del percorso da parte degli atleti e, come di consuetudine, seguiranno il passaggio della carovana pubblicitaria e della pedalata amatoriale.

Gli ultimi cento metri sotto la Madonnina saranno percorsi su una tracciato tricolore, in onore del 150° anniversario dell’Unità d’Italia, di cui il Giro è un simbolo.

Il 28 Maggio ai Magazzini Generali la festa più calda della primavera, in consolle Armand Van Helden, vera e propria leggenda dei dancefloor, Reset! e Alex Metric.

Ultimo imperdibile appuntamento per l’adidas Originals Mega Party, imponente tour a tinte electro organizzato dal brand del trifoglio nelle più importanti città italiane. Ed è già caccia aperta agli inviti per la tappa meneghina del 28 maggio presso i Magazzini Generali. Da un paio di giorni adidas Originals distribuisce in alcuni selezionatissimi store della città - qui l’elenco www.adidas.com/originals-megaparty -  i free pass senza i quali sarà impossibile accedere a quello che i rumors indicano come l’evento cult della primavera.

La data da cerchiare sul calendario per i nottambuli più incalliti è quella del 28 maggio, quando ai Magazzini Generali saliranno in consolle Armand Van Helden, vera leggenda della techno, i Reset!, gruppo di producer cresciuti a pane e house music e Alex Metric, dj d’oltremanica conteso dai migliori club internazionali. Una serata davvero eccezionale, tutta adrenalina, musica e dj set, riservata però solo ai fortunati che riusciranno ad accaparrarsi i mitici inviti del trifoglio.

Ospite d’onore assoldato per celebrare in grande stile la chiusura del tour, Armand Van Helden, firma di alcuni brani entrati ormai di diritto nella storia della musica dance, da Hear My Name fino a U Don't Know Me. Van Helden è anche una delle menti del duo Duck Sauce, autori della hit internazionale Barbra Streisand, che ha tenuto il vertice delle classifiche nel mondo per più di 6 mesi.

E sarà un po’ come ritornare a casa per i Reset!, collettivo di dj, produttori musicali e creativi meneghini, balzato agli onori della cronaca per una serie di serate dal forte sapore house. Pur essendo molto giovani, i Reset! vantano già un curriculum straordinario: hanno infatti suonato insieme ai più grandi dj a livello mondiale, da Fatboy Slim ai Cassius. Il loro stile è davvero un mix inconfondibile di funk, electro, house e hip-hop.

Ma la dance crew del trifoglio non sarebbe completa senza dj Alex Metric, colosso della musica dance e storica voce della BBC1. Consacrato al successo mondiale con l’album In Your Machine, Metric è un vero e proprio professionista del remix: sono suoi infatti alcuni dei più famosi riarrangiamenti per Phoenix, La Roux, Fenech Soler e Gorillaz .

I Magazzini Generali, storico tempio del divertimento milanese, avranno l’onore di ospitare l’ultima tappa dell’adidas Originals Mega Party. Una scelta che riconferma il locale come uno dei ritrovi più divertenti e gettonati della nightlife meneghina.

Quella milanese è l’ultima data di una serie di eventi, i Mega Party appunto, che hanno coinvolto 10 tra le più importanti città italiane da fine marzo a fine maggio. Oltre a Armand Van Helden, Alex Metric e Reset!, anche Cassius, Riva Starr, Busy P e Dj Pisti hanno partecipato al progetto Mega Party adidas Originals:.L’obiettivo è stato semplice ed ambizioso al tempo stesso: far incontrare i giovani con i loro idoli musicali, in un turbinio di musica e divertimento, firmato adidas Originals.

CHURCHES in Milan

The Cathedral
Commissioned by Gian Galeazzo Visconti, the Cathedral started being built in 1386. It is the third largest church in the world after St. Peter’s in Rome and after the Cathedral of Seville. It is overall made of marble, with immense statues, arches, pillars, pinnacles. The statues are about 3500, including the 96 gargoyles. The highest pinnacle is at the height of 108.5 metres, and it has on its top the statue of the Virgin Mary, best known as the “Madonnina”, covered of gold. Inside the church there are many interesting works of art: the tomb of Gian Giacomo Medici di Marignano, known as “Il Medeghino”; the crypt and St. Carlo Borromeo’s statue; the wooden choir-stails; the Tivulziano candelabrum; the Egyptian porphyry basin. There also old stained-glass windows of the XV century.
Visiting the Cathedral, it is possible to go on the roof where you have a overview of the city. It is also possible to visit the ruins of the Baptistery of San Giovanni alle Fonti (Baptistery of Sant’Ambrogio).

Santa Maria delle Grazie
This church was built between 1466 and 1490 by Giuniforte Solari and later partly modified by Bramante who re-designed the apse, the Tribuna, the Cloister and the Old Sacristy. In the Refectory there is one of the most famous paintings of Leonardo da Vinci: the “Last Supper”. The works of the fresco started in 1495 and finished in 1498. Unfortunately it started to deteriorate only 20 years after completion, so it had four restorations: in 1908, 1924, 1953 (after the bombings of Second World War) and in 1977. Inside the church there is also the Crucifixion of Donato Montorfano (1495).



The Basilica of San Lorenzo Maggiore
Situated in Corso di Porta Ticinese and fronted by 16 Corinthian Columns from a 3rd century Roman Temple and by a bronze copy of the statue of the Emperor Constantine, the Basilica is a great example of Roman and early-Christian architecture. It was built at the end of the IV century, but it has been a victim of many misfortunes, so it was restored in 1911, 1916 and in 1937/38 . The dome was built later, in 1619, and the façade is of the XIX century. In the chapels of Sant’Aquilino, Sant’Ippolito and San Sisto there are some Christian mosaics and various frescoes.








San Maurizio at the Monastero Maggiore
The Church of San Maurizio was built in 1503 as an annexation to the oldest Benedictine convent of Milan, the “Monastero Maggiore”. In the inside there is nave but there aere not aisles. The wooden choir-stalls are still in great conditions; the walls are decorated with paintings of XV century; the foundations and part of the two towers are of the Roman period. The Organ, made in 1554 by Giacomo Antegnati still works and it is used during seasonal organ concerts.

The Certosa of Garegnano
The Certosa of Garegnano is a Carthusian monastery founded in1349 by the Archibishop Giovanni Visconti. It was re-built at the end of the XVI and at the beginning of XVII century by Pellegrino Tibaldi, so just a little part of the original structure still remains. Vincenzo Seregni has done the internal works, while Daniele Crespi decorated the walls of the nave with frescoes that represent some episodes from the history of the Carthusian Order and its founder St. Brunone. On the right part there also is a cloister built in the late XVI century.






The Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio

The Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio is a great example of Romanesque architecture.
This is one of the oldest churches in Milan and one of most historically medieval buildings in Lombardy. It was begun in 379 and 7 years later it was consecrated by St. Ambrose,who was probably bishop of Milan from 374 to his dead in 397, when he was buried beside the bodies of St. Gervase and St. Protasius inside the Church. In 739 the monastery of the Benedictine Monks was built next to the church and in the 9th century the simple right bell-tower, known as the bell-tower of the monks, was built. It was finished in 1889 with the completion of the three-arched loggia. At the end of the 15th century, Cardinal Ascanio Sforza gave the task of constructing the cloisters and the portico of the rectory to Bramante. In the following centuries other changes were made, but in 1857 the archduke Maximilian of Austria ordered that the baroque additions to the church have to be removed. It was bombed in August 1943 and restored by the architect Ferdinando Reggiori.
Inside the Basilica you can find the crypt with the remains of the saint and the gorgeous "Treasure of Sant'Ambrogio", which contains paintings, mosaics, tapestries, marble, clothes and other precious objects.
The original carved wooden door with scenes from the Life of David and Saul date from the 4th and 7th centuries; the fragments are kept in the museum of Sant’Ambrogio. The apse is decorated with a mosaic representing a blessing Christ; the ciborium has great Roman columns and a golden altar made by Volvino.





Santa Maria at San Satiro
In Via Torino, not so far from Piazza Duomo, there is the church of Santa Maria at San Satiro, that was firstly built in 879 and modified during the centuries, until its last rebuilding in 1476. The façade was begun by Amadeo and Bramante but was modified in the XIX century; the floor by Cristoforo Lombardo was designed in the first part of the XVI century; the bell tower, instead, belongs to X-XII century’s architecture.
















The Basilica of Sant’Eustorgio
At the end of Corso di Porta Ticinese there is, in Sant’Eustorgio square, the homonymous church, the Basilica of Sant’Eustorgio, probably founded in the IV century by Bishop Eustorgio. The church was re-built in the XII century in Romanesque style. In the right transept there is the Chapel of the Magi with their relics that were stolen by Barbarossa in 1164 and partly returned in 1903.
Next to te Basilica you can find the parish museum, developed through the monumental spaces of the former Dominican convent, with paintings of the XVIº and XVIIº century, a monumental sacristy with original furnishing and collection of valuable relics, chapels Solarian and the wonderful Renaissance Portinari Chapel, with frescoes by Vincenzo Foppa. From there you can access also to the only nearly Christian necropolis open to visitors in Milan, with a collection of interesting inscriptions.

MILAN WINES


Wines produced in Lombardy were famous since the ancient Roman times, and the region is well known today, yet, for its high quality products.
You will find there wines for all tastes and for all budgets, white and red nectars, different for type and production area, to be tasted with dishes of the Lombardy and North Italy tradition. Especially the area of the Oltrepò pavese has a proud tradition of excellent wine.
When you will be in Lombardy, just remember to taste a few of them such as Buttafuoco, Sangue di Giuda, Barbera, Pinot and Bonarda.

Buttafuoco
The name seems to derive from the dialect "to me to Fogh buta" which means "warm - wakes up like fire", in relation to the fact that this is a wine of character and body. Another explanation, more fantastic, is also connected to the effigy of the Club adottatta Buttafuoco: an oval enclosed by two red ribbons, a symbol of the stream and the stream Scuropasso Versa, the two streams in the area which is enclosed production. The oval contains an image of a sailing ship with sails on fire. The explanation of the presence of the Dawn Treader is the following. In the second half of '800, the legend goes, the Imperial Navy Austro - Hungarian launched a ship to which he was given the name Buttafuoco in memory of a company of sailors deployed in Stratford for the ferry on the river Po and busy fighting against the army of the Kingdom of Sardinia in Oltrepò. Sangue di Giuda

Bonarda

Ragnarock Nordic Festival 2011

Il 28 maggio 2011, il Ragnarock Nordic Festival arriva all’ARCI Bitte. Anche quest’anno, Italia e nord Europa si incontrano a Milano attraverso workshop, degustazioni, lezioni di lingua, incontri letterari e concerti direttamente dal nord Europa.

L’Associazione non-profit Ragnarock, in collaborazione con ARCI Bitte, si rivolge a ragazzi, adulti e famiglie per farli riflettere in maniera divertente e insolita sullo stile di vita e cultura dei paesi nordici e per incoraggiare uno scambio costruttivo tra cultura italiana e nordeuropea. Il filo conduttore degli eventi del Festival 2011 sarà la gioia di vivere che caratterizza i popoli del nord Europa.

La serata sarà dedicata alla musica: le band più promettenti del panorama musicale nord Europeo si esibiranno sul palcoscenico del Bitte a partire dalle 21.30 con la seguente line-up: 21.30 At Mezzanine Level (IT) – Band italiana vincitrice del Ragnarock Music Contest; 22.00 Basko Sthlm (SE) – giovane e promettente gruppo indie di Stoccolma capace di fondere melodie allegre e spensierate a ritmi incalzanti, il tutto condito da una buona dose di rock e backbeat; 23.00 Lars and the Hands of Light (DK) – quartetto danese guidato dall’eclettico Lars Vognstrup che presenta sul palco del Bitte il disco d’esordio “The Looking Glass”, album electro-pop di grande energia impreziosito da un sound rétro che strizza l’occhio agli anni ’60.

Da mezzanotte alle 04.00 la festa proseguirà con un DJ set: Black Candy e Dave Rodriquez proporranno i più grandi
successi dal Nord Europa uniti al meglio dell’indie-rock internazionale. Gli spazi del BITTE verranno allestiti con fotografie e video promozionali dei paesi nordici, con un’attenzione particolare alla Norvegia, grazie alla concessione da parte di VisitNorway e Innovation Norway di materiale a tema e saranno inoltre proiettati i lavori di Terje Sorgjerd, fotografo norvegese che con i suoi scatti ha catturato l’essenza dei paesaggi nordici.

discesa notturna sul Naviglio Grande.

“La Lucciolata” è la classica discesa notturna del Naviglio in un tratto compreso tra la Padregnana e Castelletto di Cuggiono. Una suggestiva discesa per tutti, bambini compresi, con canoe, kayak e gommoni in compagnia delle lucciole.

Il programma è il seguente:

Ore 20:30 ritrovo per l’iscrizione, recupero del materiale nautico e formazione degli equipaggi presso la sede nautica del CCM a Castelletto di Cuggiono

Ore 22.00 inizio discesa

Ore 23:00 circa arrivo

La serata continuerà con una spaghettata in compagnia presso la sede del CCM.

Sarà possibile pernottare in tenda e camper nel parco della sede.

"Fireflies"

"The Firefly" is a classic drop-down night in a stretch of the waterway between the Padregnana and Castelletto di Cuggiono. One striking down for everyone, including children, by canoe, kayak and raft in the company of fireflies.

riservata alle classi J24, Platu 25 e libera cabinati. Una ventina di imbarcazioni si contenderanno la vittoria di questa regata rendendola avvincente e spettacolare.

Una regata velica spettacolare giunta alla 12° edizione, ambientata sul romantico ramo di Lecco del Lago di Como. La gara si disputa su due prove a partire dalle 8.30 e si conclude alle 13 circa. Una ventina di imbarcazioni si contendono la vittoria di questa regata particolarmente avvincente per chi la segue dalla riva. Complice anche un paesaggio fra i più belli d’Italia.

AH-UM MILANO
JAZZ FESTIVAL EDIZIONE 2011

Dal 18 al 22 Maggio


Nato nel 2000, AH-UM MILANO JAZZ FESTIVAL è diventato un appuntamento fisso nella vita culturale di Milano, confermandosi come una delle più importanti iniziative dedicate al jazz. La rivista Musica Jazz, infatti, lo ha presentato come “unico erede dei gloriosi festival che la città ha perduto” (nov. 2008). Il suo nome è un esplicito omaggio a Charles Mingus, geniale musicista che pubblicò nel 1959 MINGUS AH UM.
L' obiettivo principale è promuovere il jazz italiano e stimolare le sue possibili correlazioni con altri ambiti culturali (arti visive, cinema, letteratura…). L’edizione 2011 (18-22 maggio), si svolgerà nei luoghi cruciali e più suggestivi del quartiere Isola, con un programma ricco di mostre, presentazioni e naturalmente concerti live.

Mangiare carote - Allunga la Vita

Non Abbronzano ma.............allungano la Vita

L’alfa carotene ha una struttura chimica simile al beta carotene e, come questo, è contenuto in particolare nelle carote, ma anche in piselli, fagiolini, zucca, broccoli, albicocche e altri tipi di frutta e ortaggi.

La Ricetta della Salute
A richiamare l’attenzione su questo carotenoide è uno studio, pubblicato da Archives of Internal Medicine, condotto dai ricercatori del Centers for Disease Control and Prevention di Atlanta (USA) . In questa ricerca, più di 15 mila adulti arruolati in un vasto studio di sorveglianza (Third National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey), sono stati sottoposti, all’inizio, a una valutazione medica e al prelievo del sangue, poi sono stati seguiti per 12-18 anni. I livelli plasmatici di alfa carotene sono risultati inversamente associati con il rischio di mortalità per tutte le cause e in particolare per malattia cardiovascolare e tumore (anche dopo aver considerato variabili quali l’età e lo stile di vita). Del resto, l’alfa carotene (i cui livelli nel sangue sono fortemente associati con il consumo totale di frutta e verdura e, in particolare, di carote e altri ortaggi da radice) è un potente antiossidante capace di contrastare i radicali liberi coinvolti nell’insorgenza di molte malattie croniche; inoltre, in studi condotti in laboratorio si è dimostrato più efficace del beta carotene nell’inibire la crescita di alcune cellule tumorali. Quest’ultima ricerca, quindi, oltre ad essere è un’ulteriore conferma dell’importanza della verdura e della frutta nella dieta, suggerisce la necessità di approfondire il ruolo di questo carotenoide finora poco considerato.

Domenica 22 Maggio 2011, nella splendida cornice del parco Scalabrini a Cermenate in
provincia di Como, si terrà la 2° edizione della fi era dedicata al vino “Profumi e sapori
diVini”.

L’evento sarà una mostra mercato con vari espositori che oltre a far degustare i propri
prodotti avranno la possibilità di vendere al pubblico gli stessi.
La prima edizione, svoltasi lo scorso 16 Maggio 2010, ha riscontrato uno straordinario
successo : nella sua unica giornata di svolgimento è stata visitata da circa 2.500 persone!
Un appuntamento nuovo, non solo per il paese di Cermenate ma anche per tutta la zona
limitrofa, che ha saputo ben conciliare le aspettative degli esperti e addetti ai lavori con la
curiosità di un attento ed appassionato pubblico pronto a cogliere i segreti e le tradizioni
del mondo del vino.
I numeri della scorsa edizione, del resto, parlano chiaro : 21 espositori provenienti da 8
regioni d'Italia, dalla Puglia all'alto Adige, dalla Sicilia al Piemonte, più di 900 ingressi al
percorso di degustazione, il servizio di 350 piatti all’ora di pranzo e quasi 1000 panini
nell’arco della giornata, e sullo sfondo una trentina di bambini che hanno partecipato ai
laboratori organizzati con la collaborazione dell'amministrazione provinciale di Como.
Il lavoro e la professionalità di una sessantina di volontari e collaboratori hanno portato ad
un ottimo risultato : mai come in questo caso si può dire che “La passione per il vino ha
vinto ancora!!!”.
L'iniziativa gode del patrocinio di Regione Lombardia, Provincia di Como,
Amministrazione Comunale di Cermenate ed è sostenuta da ONAV.

The event will be a marketplace with a number of exhibitors as well as to taste their

The first edition, held last May 16, 2010, has seen tremendous

Frank Sinatra e la Passione per il Pesto.

Alcuni Titoli che hanno occupato le prime pagine in quel periodo: 

Il pesto sbanca a Las Vegas e affascina "The Voice".
La passione per il pesto ha catturato anche gli Stati Uniti.
Nel corso della marcia trionfale del pesto negli Stati Uniti, nasce il "pesto alla Frank".


Alcune note storiche:

Il 12 dicembre 1991, nell'anno del suo 75° compleanno, Frank Sinatra inaugurò una linea alimentare contrassegnata dal suo nome e dalla sua immagine.

Si trattava di prodotti caratteristici della gastronomia italiana: olio, sugo e sopra a tutti il pesto genovese, confezionato in barattoli cilindrici di vetro, avvolti da un'etichetta nera nella quale campeggiava il mezzobusto di "The Voice".

Frank Sinatra prima di morire ha voluto indossare la cravatta rosso-blu del Genoa e gli amici di Las Vegas in omaggio al suo amore per il calcio ci hanno inviato la sua foto vestito con la maglia del Genoa”. Lo ha raccontato a Genova lo chef Luciano Belloni, in arte ‘Zeffirino’, titolare con i fratelli dell’omonimo ristorante, meta culinaria per ”The voice”.

Lui amava il pesto genovese e nel calcio tifava per il Genoa.
Dal calcio alla cucina, negli stati Uniti sbarchera’ la nuova marca di pesto ”Zeffirino-Frank Sinatra”, un’idea nata dalla famiglia del cantante italo-americano, basilico doc ligure e lavorazione degli ingredienti made in Usa.

Roda da Vida 2011

Dal 27 al 28 maggio 2011, torna a Milano la IX edizione di Roda Da Vida 2011, due giorni di Capoeira e di musica a Milano.

Si riconferma anche quest’anno, e torna puntuale a Milano l’atteso appuntamento con la capoeira e la Roda da Vida, il “Cerchio della vita” alla sua IX Edizione. Presso AREA Carroponte (Spazio Mi) di Sesto San Giovanni, si susseguiranno due giorni di musica, capoeira e cultura brasiliana. Due giorni di full-immersion nella tradizione della capoeira con Roda Aperta e la partecipazione di capoeristi provenienti da tutta Europa; tanta musica, tutta con lo stesso comune denominatore fatto di energia, qualità e movimento.

Il  pomeriggio di sabato 28 sarà dedicato ai bambini con la quinta edizione del Festival a loro dedicato Il Nano a Milano, giochi della tradizione brasiliana, laboratori artistici e officine basate sull’utilizzo di materiale riciclato, sessione di percussioni, giochi di squadra e roda di capoeira, ai quali tutti i bambini dai 4 ai 12 anni potranno partecipare.

La manifestazione prende inizio alle 18.00 di Venerdì 27 maggio, con “Batepapo sul turismo responsabile in Brasile - esperienze di turismo comunitario in Bahia” tavola rotonda di presentazione  di "PARADA BRASIL" , nuovo sportello per il turismo sostenibile in Brasile, creato dalla collaborazione tra l’Associazione Italiana di Capoeira da Angola e l'ONG OIKOS, e finanziato dal Comune di Milano. Al dibattito parteciperanno diverse associazioni come CEI, Viaggi del Sogno e Intervita onlus.
   
Alle 20.30 la prima grande Roda di Capoeira tenuta dal Gruppo Capoeira da Angola di Mestre Baixino e, alle 21.30, ritornano a grande richiesta, per un’unica data italiana, i TERRAKOTA in concerto, il gruppo tribal-ethno-reggae proveniente da Lisbona, lanciati in Italia con grande successo proprio da questa manifestazione. La serata prosegue alle 23.30 con la musica dei DJ set regge da Milano dei FAIDA DAL BASSO.

La Roda da Vida si conclude sabato 28 maggio, con una giornata tradizionalmente dedicata interamente al Brasile, iniziando alle 15.00, con lo spazio dei bambini con la quinta edizione del “IL NANO A MILANO”, seguito dalla Roda di Capoeira per bambini dei gruppi di capoeira dell’Associazione Italiana di Capoeira Da Angola, aperta a tutti i bambini dai 4 ai 12 anni che praticano capoeira.
Alle 20.30, la serata porta sul palco lo Spettacolo di Maculele e di Capoeira del gruppo “Capoeira da Angola” di Mestre Baixinho, seguito dalle 22.00 fino a tarda notte, dalla musica del Dj set di SPAZIO PETARDO.

Per limitare al minimo i disagi ai passeggeri, i lavori si svolgeranno in fascia serale e notturna e senza interruzione della circolazione.

FERMATE SU UN UNICO BINARIO
Per consentire la realizzazione dei lavori, dalle 22,30 circa a fine servizio, i treni effettueranno le fermate di Sant’Ambrogio, Sant’Agostino e Porta Genova su un unico binario.

Unica accortezza per i passeggeri: fare attenzione alla segnaletica nelle stazioni e in banchina per dirigersi verso il binario giusto e individuare la corretta destinazione dei treni.

Inoltre, per garantire le regolari frequenze anche sulle diramazioni, nella tratta Famagosta e Assago Forum il servizio sarà effettuato con treno-navetta.

Dal 2008 oltre 15milioni di spettatori hanno plaudito la spettacolare rappresentazione con le musiche di Riccardo Cocciante

Oltre quindici milioni di spettatori in tutto il mondo per un successo che si rinnova dal 1998: è il biglietto da visita di “Notre Dame de Paris”, l’opera moderna con le musiche di Riccardo Cocciante, che il 29 e 30 giugno prossimi andrà in scena allo Stadio di San Siro a Milano per festeggiare il decimo anniversario dal suo debutto in Italia.

Since 2008, more than 15 million spectators have applauded the spectacular performance with music by Richard Cocciante

Over fifteen million people around the world for a success that is renewed in 1998: it is the calling card of "Notre Dame de Paris", the modern opera with music by Riccardo Cocciante, that 29 and June 30 next will on stage at the San Siro Stadium in Milan to celebrate the tenth anniversary since its debut in Italy.

Just the show in Italy was represented in 38 different cities making 842 replicas, since its first performance in the original French version, in Assago, March 21, 2001.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Is Dead, Vader Says

CORUSCANT — Obi-Wan Kenobi, the mastermind of some of the most devastating attacks on the Galactic Empire and the most hunted man in the galaxy, was killed in a firefight with Imperial forces near Alderaan, Darth Vader announced on Sunday.

In a late-night appearance in the East Room of the Imperial Palace, Lord Vader declared that “justice has been done” as he disclosed that agents of the Imperial Army and stormtroopers of the 501st Legion had finally cornered Kenobi, one of the leaders of the Jedi rebellion, who had eluded the Empire for nearly two decades. Imperial officials said Kenobi resisted and was cut down by Lord Vader's own lightsaber. He was later dumped out of an airlock.

The news touched off an extraordinary outpouring of emotion as crowds gathered in the Senate District and outside the Imperial Palace, waving imperial flags, cheering, shouting, laughing and chanting, “Hail to the Emperor! Hail Lord Vader!” In the alien protection zone, crowds sang “The Ten Thousand Year Empire.” Throughout the Sah'c district, airspeeder drivers honked horns deep into the night.

“For over two decades, Kenobi has been the Jedi rebellion’s leader and symbol,” the Lord of the Sith said in a statement broadcast across the galaxy via HoloNet. “The death of Kenobi marks the most significant achievement to date in our empire’s effort to defeat the rebel alliance. But his death does not mark the end of our effort. There’s no doubt that the rebellion will continue to pursue attacks against us. We must and we will remain vigilant at home and abroad.”

Obi-Wan Kenobi ’s demise is a defining moment in the stormtrooper-led fight against terrorism, a symbolic stroke affirming the relentlessness of the pursuit of those who turned against the Empire at the end of the Clone Wars. What remains to be seen, however, is whether it galvanizes Kenobi’s followers by turning him into a martyr or serves as a turning of the page in the war against the Rebel Alliance and gives further impetus to Emperor Palpatine to step up Stormtrooper recruitment.

In an earlier statement issued to the press, Kenobi boasted that striking him down could make him "more powerful than you could possibly imagine."

How much his death will affect the rebel alliance itself remains unclear. For years, as they failed to find him, Imperial leaders have said that he was more symbolically important than operationally significant because he was on the run and hindered in any meaningful leadership role. Yet he remained the most potent face of terrorism in the Empire, and some of those who played down his role in recent years nonetheless celebrated his death.

Given Kenobi’s status among radicals, the Imperial Galactic government braced for possible retaliation. A Grand Moff of the Imperial Starfleet said late Sunday that military bases in the core worlds and around the galaxy were ordered to a higher state of readiness. The Imperial Security Bureau issued a galactic travel warning, urging citizens in volatile areas “to limit their travel outside of their local star systems and avoid mass gatherings and demonstrations.”

The strike could deepen tensions within the Outer Rim, which has periodically bristled at Imperial counterterrorism efforts even as Kenobi evidently found safe refuge it its territories for nearly two decades. Since taking over as Supreme Commander of the Imperial Navy, Lord Vader has ordered significantly more strikes on suspected terrorist targets in the Outer Rim, stirring public anger there and leading to increased criminal activity.

When the end came for Kenobi, he was found not in the remote uncharted areas of Wild Space and the Unknown Regions, where he has long been presumed to be sheltered, but in a massive compound about an hour’s drive west from the Tatooine capital of Bestine. He had been living under the alias "Ben" Kenobi for some time.

The compound, only about 50 miles from the base of operations for the Imperial Storm Squadron, is at the end of a narrow dirt road and is roughly eight times larger than other homes in the area, which were largely occupied by Tusken Raiders. When Imperial operatives converged on the planet on Saturday, following up on recent intelligence, two local moisture farmers “resisted the assault force” and were killed in the middle of an intense gun battle, a senior Stormtrooper said, but details were still sketchy early Monday morning.

A representative of the Imperial Starfleet said that military and intelligence officials first learned last summer that a “high-value target” was hiding somewhere on the desert world and began working on a plan for going in to get him. Beginning in March, Lord Vader worked closely with a series of several different Admirals serving onboard the Death Star to go over plans for the operation, and on Friday morning gave the final order for members of the 501st Legion (known commonly as "Vader's Fist") to strike.

Kenobi and a group of his followers were eventually captured while fleeing the system, and taken aboard the Death Star, which was in the midst of surveying the recent environmental disaster on Alderaan. Darth Vader called it a “targeted operation,” although officials said four tie fighters were lost because of "mechanical failures" and had to be destroyed to keep them from falling into hostile hands.

In addition to Kenobi, two men and one wookiee were killed, one believed to be his young apprentice and the other two his couriers, according to an admiral who briefed reporters under Imperial ground rules forbidding further identification. A woman was killed when she was used as a shield by a male combatant, the Admiral said. Two droids were also reported missing.

“No Stormtroopers were seriously harmed,” Lord Vader said. “They took care to avoid civilian casualties. After a firefight, I defeated my former master and took custody of his body.” Jedi tradition requires burial within 24 hours, but by doing it in deep space, Imperial authorities presumably were trying to avoid creating a shrine for his followers.

Lord Vader has denied requests to present photographs of the body, describing them as "too gruesome" for the general public.

Ristoranti Cinesi ?? - Più sicuri i Ristoranti Italiani

Nuovi sequestri di cibi avariati nei Ristoranti Cinesi

Solo nel 2011 sono stati eseguiti controlli nei ristoranti cinesi di Milano, con il sequestro complessivo di
1 tonnellata circa di alimenti scaduti e avariati.

La settimana scorsa, ad esempio, vigili e Asl sono intervenuti in un ristorante gestito da cinesi in viale Monza dove sono state trovate anche cozze sgusciate, congelate, scadute a giugno 2010.

Ieri il Nucleo tutela del consumatore, unitamente a personale del Dipartimento Veterinario dell’Asl, ha effettuato due nuovi controlli all’interno di due ristoranti cinesi in viale Abruzzi e via Argelati.

Gli agenti hanno rinvenuto e sequestrato oltre 80 chilogrammi di alimenti, anche cucinati,  in cattivo stato di conservazione.

I titolari, un cinese di 61 anni e una cinese di 43 anni, sono stati denunciati e multati per circa 3000 euro per diverse violazioni igieniche piani di lavoro incrostati, stoviglie, frigoriferi e pavimenti sporchi.

Il Milan si ferma al Barbera

Dopo un buon primo tempo, i neo campioni si arrendono al Barbera nel ritorno della semifinale di Coppa Italia. I rosanero passano 2-1 con i gol di Migliaccio e Bovo (rigore), espulso con Van Bommel. Inutile il gol di Ibra.

Il sogno della finale di Coppa Italia svanisce al Barbera dove il Palermo vince con merito 2-1 e si conferma bestia nera del gruppo di Allegri: l'unica squadra italiana capace di battere due volte il Milan dall'inizio dell'anno. Decisivo il secondo tempo dei rosanero che passano con un colpo di testa di Migliaccio e raddoppiano su rigore con Bovo: penalty che costa anche l'espulsione a Van Bommel, subito imitato dallo stesso Bovo che ristabilisce la parità numerica. Inutile, anche se splendido, il gol di Ibra in pieno recupero.

Per il terzo anno consecutivo il MiBAC partecipa a “La Notte dei Musei”, l’evento europeo che apre gratuitamente le porte di musei ed aree archeologiche in orario serale e notturno, permettendo un’emozionante ed insolita fruizione del patrimonio artistico italiano per tutti coloro che non riescono a farlo nei consueti orari di visita. Un’occasione unica anche per coinvolgere un pubblico più giovane e normalmente distante dal mondo della cultura. Molti dei luoghi d’arte coinvolti arricchiranno la proposta organizzando eventi quali concerti, mostre tematiche e suggestivi percorsi guidati.

A MILANO rimarranno aperti fino a tarda notte i Musei del Castello, Palazzo Morando, la Galleria d'arte moderna, il Museo del Risorgimento, l'Acquario civico e il Museo Archeologico.
Per l'occasione il Castello Sforzesco rimarrà aperto al pubblico e offrirà visite guidate gratuite fino alle 22.30.
